Aloha and Mahalo

My most recent pet peeve saying "You must be really be suffering for Jesus in Hawaii".

Fact: The weather is AMAZING yes.
Fact: I spend the majority of my time in a bat-cave learning and applying daily lessons.
Yes I get to enjoy the beauty of Gods creation while I'm out taking photos and yes I am definitely blessed to be here, but it's not all luau's and dolphins.
My average day consists of breakfast at 6:30(ish), class devotions at 8-9am, teaching at 9:15-10:30, coffee break at 10:30-10:50am, teaching at 10:50-11:45am, lunch, teaching at 1-2:45. After class we have from 3 till 5pm to work on assignments and then at 5pm we have dinner. Evenings are free for us to either work on assignments or go to campus community events, such as Thursday night worship and teaching, or dodgeball night (yes I played, and no I did not get injured) Every other weekend our entire school is on kitchen duty for breakfasts and dinners, the joys!

Today was the end of week 4 out of 12, crazy how fast it goes by!!!!
Each day has a epic amount of information crammed into it and tends to be pretty overwhelming most days, but I'd like to think that I'm getting a slight grasp on things!
This week we had guest speakers Gary and Vivian Chapman from Atlanta,Georgia teaching/instructing. The Chapman's are very much involved with NGO and humanitarian work and also dabble in what's called "stock photography".

I've been blessed with beautiful and wonderful fellow students and roommates and new friends on the campus! We've spent several evenings outside our cafe here on campus playing card games or ridiculous word games, it's great fun :)

Today I turned in my 7th assignment! Like I was saying, we've been extremely busy and it will only be intensified from here! Next week we have another guest lecturer by the name of Stanley Leary coming to teach on studio work and the business side of photography and the week after that we will welcome our 3rd guest lecturer, Louis DeLuca, who will be giving us our 2nd most intense assignment (our 1st being our final project)

I could go on and on telling stories and explaining what's to come, but I'll save that for a later blog.

I am attaching some of my recent favorite photos, enjoy!!!
